SILVER
Silver has pure white color and presents a perfect metalic lustre which is one of its greatest features.
With the exemption of Gold it is the most malleable and ductile of all metals; one gram may be drawn
into a wire of 300 feet long and be beated into a sheet 0.00025mm thick, transmitting a blue light.
It is widely distributed over the earth's surface. It is the best known conductor of heat and electricity.
The pure metal is quite soft ans is used as an enameling surface. For other applications Sterling
quality is used (92.5% silver). The melting point of pure silver is 961 C.
It has been used extensively in jewelry making, as a jewelry piece by itself or to support and showcase gemstones
